here's the final revision of the emily haines poster. i think i nailed it this time... it only took like 3 weeks or something rediculous. i'm so stoked to see my work screen printed on a glorious 18x24 inches around seattle. *pats self on back*

yesterday i made friends with a lovely gay couple who moved here from pennsylvania. jenny is a printmaker and sloan is an ad designer at the seattle times. we're going to go on arty adventures and play board games. they also have a cat named nip nip that seems to have taken a liking to me. hooray new friends!

speaking of cat's, i just booked the sush a $95 plane ticket from allentown to seattle!!!! YAAAAAAY SMOOSH!!!!

i'm also going to enter some of the photos of nonnie in a call for entries at a gallery downtown for a show on love. here's hoping they decide to put my stuff in their show! this could be very exciting : )

list of awesome things that happened to me today:
1. i'm almost finished with my emily haines poster and i'm really super freaking happy with it!
2. shango found me an amazing studio apartment in my price range 6 blocks from modern dog with a fire place, balcony, washer/dryer, dishwasher & parking garage.
3. i showed said apartment to robynne and she said it was really awesome and that if i wanted to sign the one year lease she would keep me at modern dog for a year, GIVE ME A FREAKING RAISE and i could stay there while searching for a perminent job. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

shango's taking me to the apartment tomorrow after lunch : )
now all i have to do is weasel the sush into the apartment and i'm well on my way to an actual home.

this list of things is leaps and bounds better than the list of things that's happened to me before today.
i'm also going to see death cab and jenny lewis on saturday and i'm SO FREAKING EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!

mother nature brought me snow for my birthday! how nice of her!

miss kat and mr morgan are coming up from portland to visit for the weekend. it'll be great to see them again and to have two wonderfully creative people around to talk about ideas and such with. it will also be nice to have some old friends around... the kind who know me more than the few months i've been here. i've realized it's rather easy to lose sight of who you are when you pick up and start a whole new life with a whole new set of people. everything is still so new and relationships somewhat delicate if for nothing other than a lack of passing time. trust and all of those other attributes seem to need time to develop. i think we store parts of ourselves in others, memories etc, that partially define who we are. it will be nice to be reminded of how i got here... yay : )
